ASSEMBLY, IN ACCORDANCE WITH § 2-1312 OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT
ARTICLE, ON OR BEFORE NOVEMBER 30, 1990, ON ITS
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PROVIDING OPERATING ASSISTANCE GRANTS
OR OPERATING SUPPORT TO NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS THAT USE OR
ASSIST INDIVIDUALS THAT USE PROGRAMS AUTHORIZED UNDER THIS
TITLE.

SECTION -4- 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1990.

Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I have today
vetoed House Bill 1050.

This bill allows a court in Harford County to impose a prison sentence as a condition of
probation.

The proposed change was made in Senate Bill 795, which was passed by the General
Assembly and signed by me on May 2, 1990. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign
House Bill 1050.

AN ACT concerning

Harford County - Conditions of Probation

FOR the purpose of providing that a court in Harford County may impose as a
condition of probation a sentence of confinement; and generally relating to
conditions of probation in Harford County.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 641A(a)
