AN ACT concerning

Dorchester County - Alcoholic Beverages - Clarification of Time Hours of Sale

FOR the purpose of clarifying in the Dorchester County alcoholic beverage laws that
"12 p.m." means 12 midnight; and clarifying language authorizing certain
extended hours of sale under certain circumstances; and generally relating to the
hours for sale of alcoholic beverages in Dorchester County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF

MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

97.

In Dorchester County, notwithstanding any other provisions of this subtitle, the
hours for sale for alcoholic beverages [shall be] ARE as follows:

(1) For the holders of a Class A (off-sale) beer license, sales are permitted
Monday through Sunday from 6 a.m. to 12 [p.m.] MIDNIGHT, EXCEPT IF
CHRISTMAS EVE OR NEW YEAR'S EVE IS ON A SUNDAY, FROM 6 A.M. ON
SUNDAY TO 1 A.M. ON MONDAY.

day; and

(2) For the holders of a Class B (on-sale) beer license, sales are permitted:
(i) Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. on the following

(ii) Sunday from 1 p.m. to 12 [p.m.] MIDNIGHT, EXCEPT IF
CHRISTMAS EVE OR NEW YEAR'S EVE IS ON A SUNDAY, FROM 1 P.M. TO 1
A.M. THE FOLLOWING DAY.

(3) For the holders of a Class B (on and off sale) beer and light wine
license sales are permitted as follows:
