facilities plans or records that do not physically exist on the date this Act takes effect.

SECTION 2 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1990 December 31, 1990.

Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I have today
vetoed House Bill 674.

This bill extends the State Athletic Commission in accordance with the provisions of the
Maryland Program Evaluation Act (Sunset Law) to July 1, 2001.

Senate Bill 523, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me on May
29, 1990, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign
House Bill 674.

AN ACT concerning

State Athletic Commission

FOR the purpose of continuing the State Athletic Commission in accordance with the
provisions of the Maryland Program Evaluation Act (Sunset Law) by extending to
a certain date the termination provision relating to the statutory and regulatory
authority of the Commission on the regulation of kick boxing, boxing, sparring,
and wrestling.
