[(2)] (3) Meets any Other requirements that the Board establishes for a
waiver of the education requirements of § 4-302 of this subtitle.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1990.

AN ACT concerning

State Commission on Kidney Disease - Membership

FOR the purpose of altering the membership of the State Commission on Kidney
Disease; providing for the term and reappointment of successor members; and
repealing the requirement that the Maryland Health Planning Development
Agency approve the certification of a dialysis or transplant center.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Health - General

13-304.

(a) (1) The Commission consists of 12 members appointed by the Governor.
(2) Of the 12 Commission members:

(i) [2] 1 shall be [individuals] AN INDIVIDUAL from the medical
insurance industry;

(ii) 4 shall be individuals who are [laymen] LAYPERSONS to the
field of medicine;

(iii) [1] 3 shall be [an individual] INDIVIDUALS appointed at the
discretion of the Governor; and
