Ch. 688 LAWS OF MARYLAND

(2) IN HARFORD COUNTY WHENEVER A PERSON SHALL BE
CONVICTED OF A CRIME AND SENTENCED TO IMPRISONMENT BY ANY
COURT IN THE COUNTY, THE JUDGE IMPOSING SENTENCE MAY AT THE
TIME OF SENTENCING OR AT ANY TIME DURING THE INDIVIDUAL'S
INCARCERATION PRESCRIBE THAT THE INDIVIDUAL PARTICIPATE IN
THE HOME DETENTION PROGRAM ESTABLISHED UNDER THIS SECTION.

(3) AN INDIVIDUAL IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE HOME DETENTION
PROGRAM IF:

(I) THE INDIVIDUAL IS RECOMMENDED TO BE
SENTENCED TO THE HOME DETENTION PROGRAM BY THE SENTENCING
JUDGE; AND

(II) THE INDIVIDUAL HAS NO OTHER CHARGES PENDING
IN ANY CITY, COUNTY, OR STATE.

(4) AN INDIVIDUAL IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THE HOME DETENTION
PROGRAM IF THE INDIVIDUAL:

(1) IS SERVING A SENTENCE FOR A CRIME OF VIOLENCE AS
DEFINED IN § 643B OF THIS SUBHEADING; OR

(II) HAS BEEN FOUND GUILTY OF THE CRIME OF:

1. CHILD ABUSE UNDER § 35A OF THIS ARTICLE; OR
2. ESCAPE UNDER § 139 OF THIS ARTICLE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1990.

AN ACT concerning

Calvert County - Revenue Bond Authority - Multiservice Center

FOR the purpose of authorizing the County Commissioners of Calvert County to
borrow an amount not to exceed $3,000,000 and to issue and sell its revenue bonds
for the purpose of paying the costs associated with the planning, financing, design,
construction, and equipping of a building in Calvert County to be leased to the
State for use as a multiservice center and paying the expenses of issuance arid sale;
providing that the revenue bonds shall be exempt from taxation; providing for the
pledging of the proceeds from any rents or other revenues derived from the lease
