SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 24 - Political Subdivisions - Miscellaneous Provisions

9-325.

Unpaid hotel rental tax in Charles County, Somerset County, Talbot County,
Washington County, [and] Wicomico County, AND WORCESTER COUNTY is a lien
against the real and personal property of the person owing the tax and is collectible in
the same manner as the property tax may be collected under the Tax - Property Article.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is an
emergency measure, is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health
and safety, has been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of all the
members elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, and shall take
effect from the date it is enacted.

Unemployment Insurance - Benefits and Fund Contributions

FOR the purpose of altering the maximum weekly unemployment insurance benefit;
altering the standard contribution rate for an employer; altering the adjusted
contribution rate for an employer; providing for the application effective date of
this Act; clarifying language; providing for the termination of certain sections of this
Act; and generally relating to unemployment insurance benefits and
contributions.
