accordance with the provisions of § 11D of this article; OR

(II) IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF § 11C OF
THIS ARTICLE FOR THOSE MEMBERS WHO HAD ELECTED TO RECEIVE
BENEFITS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF § 11C OF THIS
ARTICLE.

[(r)] (S) The general administration, funding, and responsibility for the proper
operation of this pension system is vested in the Board of Trustees for Maryland State
Retirement and Pension Systems. The proper operation of this pension system shall be
as that provided for the operation of the Pension System for the Employees of the State
of Maryland.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1990.

State Aid for Police Protection Services

FOR the purpose of providing for the payment of certain additional amounts by the
State each fiscal year to each subdivision and certain municipalities calculated on
the number of sworn police officers employed by the subdivision or municipality;
defining a term; and generally relating to State aid for police protection to certain
municipalities.
