This subtitle may be cited as the "Washington County Government Administrative
Procedure Act."]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section(s) 251 of
Article 25 - County Commissioners of the Annotated Code of Maryland be renumbered
to be Section(s) 236C to be under the subheading "Miscellaneous Provisions".

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1990.

AN ACT concerning

Washington County - Agricultural Land Preservation Program - Methods of Payment

FOR the purpose of authorizing the County Commissioners of Washington County to
adopt ordinances that establish certain methods of payment providing certain
supplemental payments to the Maryland Agricultural Land Preservation Program,
or paying for development rights or land in fee simple under the County's
agricultural land preservation program; authorizing the County Commissioners to
adopt ordinances that relate to agricultural preservation districts in Washington
County; providing for certain long-term obligations of Washington County in
certain forms; exempting certain long-term obligations from the provisions of
certain laws; and generally relating to the agricultural land preservation program
of Washington County.

Preamble

WHEREAS, Washington County has an approved local program of agricultural
land preservation under § 9 512 2-522 of the Agriculture Article; and

WHEREAS, In order to enhance and expand this local program in Washington
County, this Act is necessary to authorize the County to be able to purchase agricultural
