Ch. 515 LAWS OF MARYLAND

(a) There shall be a judicial personnel committee, with duties and powers as set

forth in this subtitle.

(b) The judicial personnel committee consists of three members, as follows:

(1) The [State Secretary of Personnel] STATE COURT
ADMINISTRATOR;

(2) The administrative judge of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City; and

(3) The clerk of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City.

2-5A-05.

All employees of the office of the clerk of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City
shall be employees of this State and, except as otherwise provided in this [subtitle]
ARTICLE or other provision of law for specific purposes, are subject to all of the
benefits and responsibilities applicable to any other State employee generally.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of Maryland read
as follows:

Article - Natural Resources

8-729.

(e) $6 of every fee received under the provisions of § 8-730 shall be deposited
[to the credit of the Comptroller of the Treasury - Clerk of Courts Deficiency Fund.
This Fund shall be used to offset any operating deficiency incurred by the clerks of the
circuit courts. Any balance remaining after all deficiencies have been paid shall be
treated as general fund revenue] IN THE GENERAL FUND.

Article - Transportation

13-208.

(b) The Administration shall deposit $6 of each filing fee received under this
subtitle in the [Comptroller of the Treasury-Clerk of the Court's Deficiency Fund, to
be used to offset any operating deficiencies incurred by the offices of the clerks of the
circuit courts for the counties. Any balance remaining after all deficiencies are paid
shall be treated as general fund revenue] GENERAL FUND.

SECTION 2 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section(s) 2 305.1
2-206, 2-505.1, 2-506, 2-507, and 2-508, respectively, of Article - Courts and Judicial
Proceedings of the Annotated Code of Maryland be renumbered to be Section(s) 2-205
and 2-506 through 2-509, respectively.

SECTION 3 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Deputy Clerks
and the employees of the Offices of the Clerks of Court who hold their positions as of
June 30, 1990 shall continue to do so without diminution of salary, benefits, rights, or
privileges.

SECTION 5. AND BE IT FURTHER EN A CTED, That notwithstanding Sections 6
