AN ACT concerning

Clerks of Court - Statutory Provisions

FOR the purpose of specifying that, with an exception, the cost of office expenses and
necessary equipment used by Clerks of Court shall be as provided in the annual
budget; repealing the requirement of an annual statement to the Comptroller;
repealing certain provisions governing the deposit of certain funds; altering the
annual compensation of the Clerks; altering the process for budget submission;
deleting authority to place funds in the annual budget to supplement certain sums;
specifying the procedure for determining the number of positions in the Office
and their personnel and compensation status; altering the membership of the
Judicial Personnel Committee; making the employees subject to the provisions of
certain laws; making certain conforming changes; continuing certain rights,
benefits, privileges, and salaries after a certain date; providing for the preparation
of certain budgets for a certain fiscal year; making portions of this Act effective upon
the adoption of certain rules; prohibiting the salary increase from affecting the
incumbents; making portions of this Act subject to a certain Constitutional
Amendment; providing a delayed effective date for certain portions of this Act; and
generally relating to the employees and Offices of the Clerks of Court.
