(f) Maryland Correctional Institution for Women - Jessup (Anne
Arundel County):
(1) Design, prepare detailed plans and specifications for, and
construct a 192-bed maximum-security housing unit and acquire
land and prepare detailed plans and specifications for
construction of a pre-release/work-release unit for women at a
site undetermined. The Department of Public Safety and
Correctional Services shall submit a report to the Budget
Committees not later than November 1, 1983, as to the suitability,
location, design and program for the pre-release/work-release
unit and no part of this appropriation for the
pre-release/work-release unit shall be expended until the Budget
Committees review the Department's Report. Provided that the
property known as the "House of Good Shepherd" may not be
sold or transferred to Baltimore City until the transaction is
approved by the Budget Committees. THE AMOUNT OF
FUNDS IN THIS APPROPRIATION NOT ENCUMBERED
FOR THE PURPOSES IDENTIFIED ABOVE AS OF JUNE 1,
1990 SHALL BE USED TO PROVIDE A PORTION OF THE
FUNDS TO DESIGN, CONSTRUCT, AND EQUIP
ADDITIONAL HOUSING AT PATUXENT INSTITUTION
AND CENTRAL LAUNDRY PRE-RELEASE UNIT
(HOWARD AND CARROLL COUNTIES)................................. 6,500,000

County):
(1) Design and prepare detailed plans and specifications for a
multi-purpose building at Brockbridge Correctional Facility.

ENCUMBERED FOR THE PURPOSES IDENTIFIED
ABOVE AS OF JUNE 1, 1990 SHALL BE USED TO PROVIDE
A PORTION OF THE FUNDS TO DESIGN, CONSTRUCT,
AND EQUIP ADDITIONAL HOUSING AT PATUXENT
INSTITUTION AND CENTRAL LAUNDRY PRE-RELEASE
