SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take

AN ACT concerning

Medical Mutual Liability Insurance Society of Maryland - Subsidiaries

FOR the purpose of specifying that subsidiaries of Medical Mutual Liability Insurance
Society of Maryland may issue professional liability insurance policies and related
property and casualty insurance policies in certain states or jurisdictions to certain
persons; specifying the conditions for issuing the policies in other states or
jurisdictions; providing that all debts, claims, obligations, and liabilities of a
subsidiary shall be the debts, claims, obligations, and liabilities of that subsidiary
only; providing that a subsidiary shall be subject to regulation by the State
Insurance Commissioner of Maryland to the same extent as the Society; requiring
the Society and its subsidiaries to file certain reports with the Insurance
Commissioner and the Legislative Policy Committee; requiring a subsidiary to file
with the Insurance Commissioner for approval any application for admission in a
state other than Maryland; providing for the construction of this Act; requiring the
Society, including its subsidiary; to provide certain notice in its insurance policies;-
defining a certain term; and obtain certain approval prior to taking certain actions;
