Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF

MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Education

3-1002.

(a) (1) The President of the County Board is entitled to receive $2,600
annually as compensation and the other members are entitled to receive $2,500 each
annually as compensation. This compensation is to be paid in 12 equal monthly
installments.

(2) EACH MEMBER OF THE WASHINGTON COUNTY BOARD OF
EDUCATION IS ENTITLED TO HEALTH INSURANCE AND TO OTHER
FRINGE BENEFITS REGULARLY PROVIDED TO EMPLOYEES OF THE
BOARD OF EDUCATION.

(b) After submitting vouchers, members shall be reimbursed for travel and other
expenses within the limit set by the Washington County Commissioners.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to Article III,
§ 35 of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act may not be construed to extend or apply
to the salary or compensation of the members of the Washington County Board of
Education in office on the effective date of this Act, but the provisions of this Act
concerning the salary or compensation of the members of the Washington County
Board of Education shall take effect at the beginning of the next following term of
office.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1990.
