SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 56 - Licenses
14.
(b) In Baltimore City, the fee for a billiards license is [$30] $40.
23.
Except in Baltimore City, for every license there shall be paid the following rates:
for every license to travel on foot, $100; to travel with a horse or other beast of burden
and wagon or other vehicle, $150; with two horses or other beast of burden and wagon
or other vehicle, $200; and with a motor truck or motor vehicle of any description
whatever, $300. In Baltimore City, a license to travel on foot is [$150] $200; to travel
with a horse or other beast of burden and wagon or other vehicle, [$200] $250; to travel
with two horses or other beast of burden and wagon or other vehicle, [$250] $300; and
with a motor truck or motor vehicle of any description whatever, [$400] $500. Provided
that the license to travel with a motor truck or motor vehicle of any description shall be
SlOO for residents of Garrett County, and $100 for residents of Worcester County who
vend ice cream therefrom in Worcester County. The clerk shall supply the licensee in
the case of a horse and wagon or motor truck or motor vehicle, in addition to the license
mentioned in this section, with a metal tag or stamp to be attached to the vehicle and to
be clearly visible. A foot peddler shall have in [his] THE FOOT PEDDLER'S
possession at all times the license issued by the clerk and SHALL display the license
upon demand of any uniformed officer of the law. This section does not apply to Anne
Arundel, Prince George's, Baltimore, Cecil, Howard, or Montgomery County.
55A.
(a) Before issuing a trader's license as provided in this subtitle in Baltimore
City, the clerk shall collect a fee to be determined by the amount of the applicant's
stock in trade.
(b) (1) If the amount of the applicant's stock in trade does not or will not
exceed $1,000, the fee shall be [$15] $20.
(2) If more than $1,000 and not more than $5,000, the fee shall be [$30]
$40.
(3) If more than $5,000 and not more than $10,000, the fee shall be [$60]
$80.
(4) If more than $10,000 and not more than $50,000, the fee shall be
[$120] $160.
(5) If more than $50,000 and not more than $100,000, the fee shall be
[$300] $375.
