WILLIAM DONALD SCHAEFER, Governor Ch. 344

YEAR, THE DEPARTMENT MAY TRANSFER, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL
OF THE LEGISLATIVE POLICY COMMITTEE AND SUBJECT TO THE
PROVISIONS OF § 7-209 OF THE STATE FINANCE AND PROCUREMENT
ARTICLE, UNENCUMBERED MONEYS IN THE FUND BETWEEN THE FUND,
THE RENTAL HOUSING PROGRAMS FUND, THE HOMEOWNERSHIP
PROGRAMS FUND, OR THE SPECIAL LOANS PROGRAM FUND, PROVIDED
THE SECRETARY DETERMINES THAT THERE IS A:

(1) LESS THAN ANTICIPATED DEMAND FOR FUNDS IN THE
PROGRAM FROM WHICH FUNDS ARE BEING TRANSFERRED; AND

(2) GREATER THAN ANTICIPATED DEMAND FOR FUNDS IN
THE PROGRAM TO WHICH FUNDS ARE BEING TRANSFERRED.

2-1110.

(A) A PERSON MAY NOT KNOWINGLY MAKE OR CAUSE ANY FALSE
STATEMENT OR REPORT TO BE MADE IN ANY DOCUMENT REQUIRED TO
BE FURNISHED TO THE DEPARTMENT IN CONNECTION WITH THE
PROGRAM.

(B) A PERSON MAY NOT KNOWINGLY MAKE OR CAUSE ANY FALSE
STATEMENT OR REPORT TO BE MADE FOR THE PURPOSE OF
INFLUENCING THE ACTION OF THE DEPARTMENT IN CONNECTION WITH
THE PROGRAM.

(C) ANY PERSON WHO VIOLATES ANY PROVISION OF SUBSECTION
(A) OR (B) OF THIS SECTION IS GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR AND ON
CONVICTION IS SUBJECT TO A FINE NOT EXCEEDING $50,000 OR
IMPRISONMENT NOT EXCEEDING 5 YEARS OR BOTH.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take

effect July 1, 1990.

AN ACT concerning

Workers' Compensation - Commission Hearings - Venue

FOR the purpose of altering the right of certain employees to elect the place for a
hearing by the Workmen's Compensation Commission; defining a certain term;
requiring the Commission to conduct hearings in certain places for certain
employers; providing certain exceptions; and making certain stylistic changes.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
