11.

The Department shall at least monthly publish statistics concerning the
occurrence and cause of all motor vehicle accidents within the State. The Department
shall also publish periodic statistics of the incidence of crime within the State. No such
statistical report shall name or otherwise identify a particular known or suspected
offender. Reports required by this section shall be distributed to all agencies which
contributed information contained in such reports, to the press, and to all other
interested persons. In addition, the Superintendent may prescribe by rule the
conditions under which reports of specific motor vehicle accidents may be made
available upon request to the public; and the fee for [furnishing any such report shall be
two dollars ($2.00)] CONDUCTING A DOCUMENT SEARCH IS $2 and the moneys
received therefrom shall be used by the Department to be applied to the cost of
providing this service.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1990.

AN ACT concerning

Abandoned Vehicles - Public Auction Proceeds - Municipal Entitlement

FOR the purpose of entitling municipalities to the net proceeds of municipal sales of
abandoned vehicles.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 25-207
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1987 Replacement Volume and 1989 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Transportation

25-207.

(a) If an abandoned vehicle is not reclaimed as provided for in this subtitle, the
police department shall sell the vehicle at public auction.

(b) The buyer of the vehicle at auction:
