and that said committee be empowered to sit du-
ring the recess of the Legislature, and to con-
sult or employ such competent military advisers,
as they deem proper, to assist them in their la-
bors, providing that their compensation shall not
exceed $1000; and appointing on the part of the
House, Messrs. Compton, Sangston and Briscoe,
adopted, 89.
