GOVERNOR—
Order, that the Governor be requested to in-
form the House, if the arms shipped to Capt; Jas,
Moore of Worcester county, were seized by Gen-
eral Butler, with his knowledge and consent, and
and if he has taken any action to restore them,
&c., adopted, 268 ; message of, in response there-
to; returned to the Executive, 274.
Order, that the Governor be requested to open
negotiations with the authorities in Washington,
to procure the return of runaway slaves in milita-
ry camps, &c., adopted, 269.
Resolutions requesting the Governor to trans-
mit to Governor of Virginia, the resolutions passed
by the Legislature, that Maryland will rely upon
the honor of Virginia to make full recompense for
all property of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal
Co., destroyed by the Military forces of Virginia*
adopted, 276.
Resolution from committee on Federal Relations
requesting the Governor so return to the Armo-
ries of the State the arms which have been removed
from the Armories, and deposited in Fort McHen-
ry, or placed in the hands of ununiformed compa-
nies or assosiations, and that he return to all reg-
ularly organized and uniformed volunteer compa-
nies the arms re-claimed from them by his order,
passed, 320.
