BALTIMORE CITY-

April, and making valid the acts of the authori-
ties of, in connection with, offered by Mr. Pitts,
20, read the first time, and referred to committee
on Judiciary, 30.

Leave granted committee on Currency to intro-
duce a bill to authorise the Mayor and City Coun-
cil of, to issue small notes to a limited amount, to
be used as a currency, 21; unfavorable report
thereon, 29; referred to Baltimore city delegation,
29 ; reported unfavorably and concurred in, 67.

Leave granted special committee to report a bill
to relieve the Mayor and Board of Police of, and
all who acted under their authority, from prose-
cution , for acts committed on and after 19th of
April, in their efforts to maintain the peace of the
city, 65; reported favorably, and read a first and
second time, 69; amended, and read a third time,
and passed, 71; returned from Senate passed, 99.

Leave granted delegation to report a bill to rati-
fy an ordinance of the Mayor and City Council of
Baltimore appropriating $500,000, for the use of
the city, 10; bill reported, read the first, second and
third times by special order, and passed, 13 ; re-
turned from the Senate passed, 36.

Leave granted Baltimore city delegation to re-
port a bill to add to the 4th article of the Code of
Public Local Laws, a section empowering the
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to raise and
appropriate money for the defense of said city, 10,
billreported, 13;readafirst, second and third time by
special order, and passed, 13 ; returned from the
Senate passed, 36.

Leave granted delegation to report a bill to
amend the fourth article of the Code of Public Lo-
cal Laws by repealing the 161st, 162nd, 163d,
164th, 165th, 166th, 167th, 168th, 169th, 170th,
172d and 173d sections thereof, 19 ; reported fa-
vorably, and referred to committee on the Judi-
ciary, 19 ; reported favorably, read a second and,
by special order, a third time, and passed, 33 ;
returned from Senate passed amendments which
were adopted, 67.
