Order requesting the Committee on Military Af-
fairs to report if the report made by the Governor
and; Adjutant General meets the interrogatories
propounded, &c., adopted, 132.

Order, that a committee be appointed to inves-
tigate said report, and ascertain and report to this
House, how and by whom the $70,000 appropria-
ted for arms was applied, &c., adopted and com-
mittee appointed, 289.

Leave granted the Judiciary Committee to in-
troduce a bill to authorize the County Commission-
ers of the several counties of the Stats to levy on
the assessable property of said counties such
amount as they may deem requisite to purchase
arms for the defense of said counties, 19.

Resolution requesting the Governor to direct
the Adjutant General to furnish the Trappe Ca-
dets of Talbot county with thirty muskets, &c.,
read the first time, 72.

Resolutions requesting the Adjutant General to
furnish the Newtown Atlantic Volunteers, with,
read first time, 84 ; read a second and third time
by special order and passed, 112 ; returned from
Senate rejected, 125.

Leave granted the Baltimore city delegation to
bring in a joint resolution for the appointment of
Commissioners to contract for the manufacturing
and purchase, and the repairing of arms for this
State, to be held subject to the order of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland, 84.

Senate resolution requesting the Governor to
direct the Adjutant General of this State to fur-
nish to the President and Faculty of Washington
College, seventy-five Cadets' muskets; read a
first time, 125, read a second time and passed,
