On motion of Mr. Briscoe,
The vote by which said bill was rejected, was reconsidered;

And the bill ordered to be printed, and made the special
order of the day for to-morrow at 12 o'clock.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following:

The committee of conference, to whom was referred the
message of the two Houses in regard to the pay and mileage
of the members and officers, beg leave to report—

That they have had under due consideration the above sub-
jects and recommend that the list of mileage as adopted at
the extra session in May last, be increased by the allowance
of the sum of twenty dollars to each member and officer of
this General Assembly, except such officers as may have been
appointed from Frederick city at said extra session.

That this additional allowance be considered as embra-
cing the sums heretofore ordered by the House of Delegates
to be paid to the members and officers from the counties of
Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Calvert, Charles and Prince
George's.

They therefore recommend the adoption of the following
joint resolution:

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
members and officers of the Senate and House of Delegates
be allowed for this adjourned session, commencing on the 4th
day of June inst., the per diem for the time they have been
in actual session, and the sum of twenty dollars as an increase
to the mileage of each member and officer, except the mileage
due to officers appointed from Frederick city, and the same
