Mr. Scott presented the petition of James A. Coates and
twenty-two other citizens of Baltimore city for a law autho-
rizing the prosecution of their business as confectioners on
Sunday.
Mr. Scott offered the following order:
Ordered, That the committee to which was referred the
petition of James A. Coates and others, report a bill to
alter and amend section 178 of article XXX, of the Code of
General Laws, so as to permit the sale of confectionary, fruit
and segars on Sunday, in the city of Baltimore.
