NEGATIVE—NONE.

Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the following
bill:

A bill entitled, An act to amend the fourth Article of the Code
of Public Local Laws, by adding thereto the following section,
vesting in the Board of Police of the City of Baltimore all the au-
thority in said city now vested in a single Magistrate and Con-
stable, under the provisions of the sixty-sixth Article of the Code
of Public General Laws, in regard to free negroes and mulattoes;

Which was read the first time and referred to a special commit-
tee, consisting of Messrs. Yellott, Goldsborough, of Dorchester ;
and McKaig.

Also, a bill, entitled, An act to amend the eighty-third Article
of the Code of Public General Laws, by exempting a certain
amount of property from execution;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Committee
on Judicial Proceedings.

Mr. Goldsborough, of Talbot, from the special committee to
whom was referred a bill entitled, An act to amend the fourth Ar-
ticle of the Code of Public Local Laws, by repealing the 161,
162, 163, 164, 165, 166, 167, 168, 169, 170, 172 and 173d sec-
tions thereof.

Which was read the second time, together with the following
amendment to the title of the bill:

AMENDMENT

Relating to the Superior Court and the Court of Common Pleas,
of Baltimore city;

Which was concurred in,

On motion of Mr. Goldsborough, of Talbot,
Three-fourths of all the Senators, concurring,

The bill was read a third time, and passed by yeas and nays,
as follows:
