RESOLUTIONS—Embodying an address to the people of
Maryland, to be signed by members of both
Houses, 10.

Requesting President and Directors of Balti-
timore & Ohio Rail Road Company to furnish free
passage over the road, 12.

To appoint a Commissioner to confer with au-
thorities of Virginia, and have such measures
adopted as will protect the rights and preserve
peace on the Southern border of the State, 21.

Proposing appointment of Joint Committee to
consider the propriety of the appointment of com-
mittees to wait on the President of United States,
the President of Southern Confederacy, and the
Governor of Virginia, to avert civil war, &c., &c.,
&c., 22.

That the passage of troops over the soil of
Maryland should not be considered an act of ag-
gression on the part of the General Government,
and that if any more troops be necessary, they
should be transported over the different railroad
companies, 23.
