Goldsborough, of Talbot; Watkins,

Kimmel, Whitaker—14.

So the Senate refused to postpone.

Mr. McKaig moved to strike out all after the word "at," and
insert "Frederick city."

The yeas and nays being demanded, appeared as follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. Blackistone, McKaig,
Bradley, Smith,
Gardiner, Stone,
Goldsborough, of Talbot; Watkins,
Kimmel, Whitaker—11.
Lynch,

NEGATIVE.

Messrs. Brooke, President; Grahame,
Dashiell, Heckart,
Duvall, Townsend—7.
Franklin,

So the Senate adopted the amendment.

On motion of Mr. Dashiell,
The rules were suspended.

Mr. Dashiell moved to lay the matter on the table;
Which was rejected.

Mr. Stone moved to lay on the table for five minutes;
Which was adopted.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered a message and
resolutions in relation to an adjournment;

Which were read the first time.
