Which was read the first time.
On motion of Mr. Smith,

Leave was granted Messrs. Smith, Kimmel and Franklin to
report a bill for the relief of Harriet Porter and Miranda Porter,
of Carroll county.

On motion of Mr. Goldsborough, of Talbot,

Leave was granted the Committee on the Constitution to re-
port a bill to ratify an amendment to the Constitution of the
United States.

Mr. Brooke, from a select committee, reported the following
bills :

A bill entitled, An act appropriating a certain sum of money
therein named, to pay Charles S. Middleton, Clerk of the Circuit
Court for Prince George's county, for fees in certain State cases.

A bill, entitled, An act to amend the 93d Article, section 253,
of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to the bonds of
Registers of Wills.

A bill, entitled, An act to change the place of holding elections
in the Sixth Election District of Prince George's county;

Which were severally read the first time.
The Senate adjourned.
