A bill, entitled, An act to repeal section 226 of Article 2 of the
Code of Public Local Laws, relating to weights and measures,
so far as said law applies to the counties of Frederick, Washing-
ton and Allegany,

Was taken up, read the third time, and passed by yeas and
nays as follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. Brooke, President; Lynch,

Blackistone, McKaig,

Duvall, Smith,

Dashiell, Stone,

Franklin, Townsend,

Graharne, Watkins,

Gardiner, Whitaker—15.
Kimmel,

NEGATIVE—NONE.

Mr. Franklin submitted, to the title of the bill, the following

AMENDMENT I

Amend the title, by inserting after the word Allegany, "Anne
Arundel, Carroll and Montgomery counties;"

Which was adopted.

Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.

A bill, entitled, An act appropriating a sum of money for the
payment of the claims of James E. Tate, John H. Emerson and
A. G. Qullett,

Was taken up, read the third time, and passed by yeas and
nays as follows:
