The Sergeant-at-Arms reported that he had notified the absent
members that their attendance was required in the Senate
Chamber.

Mr. Yellott submitted the following message:

BY THE SENATE,

May 14th, 1861.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We have received your message of this date, proposing an
adjournment of the Senate and House of Delegates to-day, until
the 4th of June at 2 o'clock, to meet again in the City of Fred-
erick, and we concur therein.

By order,

WM. KILGOUR,

Secretary.

Which was read, and sent to the House of Delegates.
On motion of Mr. Goldsborough, of Dorchester,

A Committee of two was appointed to wait upon the Governor,
and inform him that the two Houses have agreed to adjourn to-
day until the 4th of June.

The President appointed Messrs. Goldsborough, of Dorchester,
and Kimmel.

The Senate adjourned.
