lutions or Joint Resolutions, and that the same may have a second
and third reading on the day of their first reading, by the con-
currence of two-thirds of the Senators present.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the following
message:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

May 14th, 1861.

Gentlemen of ttie Senate :

We propose, with the concurrence of your Honorable Body, to
adopt the following joint resolution.

By order,

M. Y. KIDD,

Chief Clerk.

Resolved by the Senate and House of Delegates, That when the
two Houses adjourn to-day, that the two Houses adjourn to meet
again in this place, on the 4lh day of1 June, at the hour of two
o'clock, P. M.

Which was read the first time, and,

On motion of Mr. Yellott,
Three-fourths of all the Senators concurring,
Was read the second time, and,

On motion of Mr. Yellott,
Three-fourths of all the Senators concurring,

Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays as
follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. Franklin, McKaig,

Gardiner, Stone,

Goldsborough, of Talbot; Townsend,

Goldsborough, of Dor.; Watkins,

Heckart, Whitaker,

Lynch, Yellott—12.

NEGATIVE—NONE.

Said Resolution was then returned to the House of Delegates.
