In section two, eighth line, strike out ''fifty" and insert
"forty."

After the word "respectively," in the tenth line, add "said

General Laws, relating to the Enrollment and Drafting of the
Militia,

Was taken up, read, and laid on the table.

Mr. Yellott, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings, re-
ported favorably on a bill, entitled,

An act to amend the fourth article of the Code of Public
Local Laws, relating to the city of Baltimore, by adding to the
said article the following section ————, giving authority to
the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to issue certificates of
debt to an amount not exceeding five hundred thousand dollars
in addition to the amount authorized to be issued by section
939 of said fourth article.

Which was read the second time, and,
