Mr. Kimmel moved to suspend the rules in order to take up
the resolution in relation to hoisting the National Flag.

The yeas and nays being demanded, appeared as follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. Bradley, Lynch,

Duvall, Nuttle,

Gardiner, Smith,

Goldsborough, of Dor,; Stone,

Kimmel, Watkins—10.

NEGATIVE.

Messrs. Brooke, President; McKaig,

Blackistone, Townsend,

Franklin, Whitaker—6.

So the Senate refused to suspend the rules.

Mr. Kimmel submitted the following:

Ordered, That one thousand copies of the Journal of the Secret
Session of the Senate be printed, for distribution by the Sena-
tors.

The yeas and nays being demanded, appeared as follows :

AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. Kimmel, Stone—3.
McKaig,

NEGATIVE.

Messrs. Brooke, President; Lynch,

Blackistone, Nuttle,

Bradley, Smith,

Duvall, Townsend,

Franklin, Watkins,

Gardiner, Whitaker—13.
Goldsborough, of Dor.;

So the Senate rejected the order.

Mr. Lynch offered the following :

Ordered, That two thousand extra copies of the resolutions
which passed this body, appointing a Joint Committee to
visit Washington, Montgomery, Richmond, and Harrisburg, be
printed for the use of the Senate.

Mr. Gardiner offered as an amendment, "one thousand,"
Which was adopted.
