LOWE, HENRY (?-1721). BORN: probably in St.
Mary's County; eldest son. NATIVE: second gen-
eration. RESIDED: in Kent County. FAMILY BACK-
GROUND. FATHER: Henry Lowe (?-1717). MOTHER:
Susannah Maria (1666-1714), daughter of Rich-
ard Bennett (ca. 1639-1667), widow of John Dor-
nall (?-1684). UNCLES: John Lowe (1642-?); Jas-
per Lowe; Nicholas Lowe (ca. 1662-1714); and
Richard Bennett (1667-1749), who married Eliz-
abeth Rousby (1682-1740), daughter of John
Rousby (?-1685/86). HALF UNCLES: Edward Lloyd
(1670-1718/19); Philemon Lloyd (ca. 1674-1732/
33); and James Lloyd (1679/80-1723). AUNTS:

1718 (appointed during the 2nd session of the
1716-1718 Assembly), 1719-1721 (died before
the 5th session of the 1719-1721/22 Assembly).

general, 1716/17-1721; Council, 1717-1721
(qualified on May 29, 1717). LOCAL OFFICES: jus-
tice, Kent County, in office March 1715/16-March

GROUND. FATHER: probably John Lowe (1616-?).
MOTHER: probably Katherine, daughter of Sir Ar-
thur Pilkington of Stanley, Yorkshire. UNCLE:

1700/1), who married first, Henry Sewall (?-1665),
and second, Charles Calvert, 3rd Lord Baltimore
