Thomas Cradock (1718-1770), born in Wolver-
hamp, Bedfordshire, England; educated at Oxford
University; immigrated in 1744 from England;
first rector of St. Thomas Parish, Baltimore
County in 1745; brother of John Cradock (ca.
1708-1778), archbishop of Dublin and chaplain to
John, fourth duke of Bedford (1710-1771).
MOTHER: Katherine (ca. 1728-1795), daughter of
John Risteau and wife Katherine. UNCLE George
Risteau (?-1792). BROTHERS: Arthur (1747-1769),
a minister; Thomas (1732-1821), a physician. SIS-
TER: Ann (1755-?), who married Charles Walker.
MARRIED in 1776 Ann (1760-1809), daughter of
John Worthington and wife Mary Todd. Her sis-
ters were Eleanor; Hannah; Elizabeth Mary, who
married Edward Carvil Tolley; and Margaret
