CHAPTER 310.

AN ACT to repeal chapter four hundred and
fifty-eight of the acts of Assembly, passed at
the January session, eighteen hundred and
eighty, entitled "An act to repeal section
forty-nine of article thirty of the Code of
Public General Laws of the State of Mary-
land," entitled "Crimes and Punishments,"
and re-enact the same so as to read as fol-
lows.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That chapter four hun-
dred and fifty-eight of the acts of Assembly,
passed at the January session, eighteen hun-

SECTION 49. Whosoever being a cashier, ser-
vant, agent or clerk to any person, or to any
body corporate, or being employed for the
purpose or in the capacity of a cashier, servant,
agent or clerk by any person or body corpo-
rate, shall fradulently embezzle any money,
goods, bill, note, bond, check, evidence of debt,
or other valuable security or effects which
shall be delivered to or received, or taken into
possession by him, for or in the name, or on
the account of his master or employer, or any
part thereof, shall be deemed to have felon-
iously stolen the same from his master or em-
