SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That if any railroad
company shall neglect or refuse to comply with
the requirements of the said County Commis-

sioners, as provided for by section one of this
act, said railroad company will be liable to a
fine of twenty-five dollars per day for each and
every day it shall neglect or refuse so to do.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That it shall be the
duty of the said County Commissioners to en-

force the payment of fines imposed by this act,
as other fines are collected, before the Circuit
Court of said county, and the State's Attorney
thereof shall attend the prosecution of all such
suits when directed so to do by the said County
Commissioners.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted. That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 295.
AN ACT to provide for the further publication
of the Archives of Maryland.
WHEREAS the Maryland Historical Society has
complied with all the provisions of the acts of
Assembly of eighteen hundred and eighty-
two, chapter one hundred and thirty-eight,
|
|
|
|
and eighteen hundred and eighty-four, chap-
ter four hundred and twenty-nine, relating
to the preservation, arrangement and publi-
cation of the archives and ancient documents
pertaining to the history of the State of Mary-
land, and has, under said acts, published three
volumes of the same, and made considerable
progress in the preparation for publication of
the fourth volume; and

WHEREAS it is proper that the publication
of said archives be continued, with reasonable
diligence and care, under the direction of said
society; therefore,
