CHAPTER 221.

AN ACT to repeal section four of chapter three
hundred and thirty-seven of the acts passed
at the January session eighteen hundred and
eighty-two, entitled an act supplementary
to an act to incorporate the Equitable Gas-
Light Company of Baltimore city, passed at
the January session, eighteen hundred and
sixty-seven of the General Assembly of
Maryland, chapter one hundred and thirty-
two of the acts of said session.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That section four of an

act passed at January session eighteen hun-
dred and eighty-two, chapter three hundred
and thirty-seven, be and the same is hereby
repealed.

Repealed.

SEC. 2. And, be it further enacted, That this
act shall take effect from the date of its pas-
sage.

CHAPTER 222.

AN ACT to amend article thirty of the Code
of Public General Laws of this State, title
"Crimes and Punishments," by adding
thereto two additional sections, relating to
defrauding Gas Companies.

Effective.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That any person who,
with intent to injure or defraud any Gas Com-
pany, body corporate of this State, shall make,
or cause to be made, any pipe, tube or other in-
strument or contrivance, or connect the same,
or cause it to be connected, with any main ser-
