Board, its officers and agents, and the discharge
of its and their respective duties in executing
and carrying into effect the objects and pur-
poses of this act.
SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That if at any
time hereafter the said Board of Governors
may deem, it advisable, in the interest of said
|

|
|
corporation, to increase the number of mem-
bers of said Board, as now constituted, they
are at liberty so to do, and for such purpose
they are hereby authorized and empowered,
from time to time, and at such times as they
may think proper, to add to and increase the
number of said Board of Governors by elect-
ing thereto some suitable person or persons
as members thereof; but the whole number of
members of said Board shall at no time exceed
eight in number.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That the General
Assembly of Maryland reserves to itself the
right to alter, amend or repeal this act, or any
part thereof, at its pleasure.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 30.
AN ACT to refund to the Consolidated Gas
Company of Baltimore city, a sum of money
erroneously paid into the State Treasury for
State taxes for the year eighteen hundred
and eighty-four.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the Comptroller
