CHAPTER 187.
AN ACT to exempt the counties of Frederick
and Montgomery from the operation of the
act passed at the January session, eighteen
hundred and eighty-two, chapter four hun-
dred and forty, relating to fishing in the
waters of the Upper Potomac and its tribu-
taries.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted, by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the counties of
Frederick and Montgomery be and the same
are hereby exempted from the operations of
the act passed at the January session, eighteen

hundred and eighty-two, chapter four hundred
and forty, relating to fishing in the waters of
the Upper Potomac and its tributaries; pro-
vided, that the exemption herein named shall
not apply to "sledging" or killing fish with
poison or drug, or by the explosion of powder
or other substance, or to the provisions of sec-
tions 15 C, D, E, F and G, relating to fishways.

CHAPTER 188.
AN ACT to refund M. B. Cooper, Copal Gordon
and G. L. Copeland, certain sums of money
erroneously paid by them for State license.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the Comptroller be

his warrant upon the Treasurer for the sum of
