CHAPTER 170.
AN ACT to add an additional section to sec-
tion one of chapter four hundred and twen-
ty-seven of the acts passed by the General
Assembly of Maryland, at the session of
eighteen hundred and eighty-four, entitled
"An act to regulate the hours of workingrnen
employed in and about the mines of Alle-
gany and Garrett counties," to more effec-
tually enforce the observance of said act,
and to be known as sub-section one.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That an additional section is here-
by added to section one of chapter four hun-

dred and twenty-seven of the acts passed by
the General Assembly of Maryland, at the
session of eighteen hundred and eighty-four,
entitled "An act to regulate the hours of work-
ingmen employed in and about the mines of
Allegany and Garrett counties," to more effec-
tually enforce the observance of said act, and
to be known as sub-section one.
SUB-SECTION ONE. And be it enacted, That
any person or persons, body corporate, agent,
manager or employer who shall violate any of

the provisions of the foregoing section shall
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon
conviction thereof shall be fined not more
than fifty dollars.
