Council of Baltimore to carry out the provi-
sions of said ordinance in all respects.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 161.

AN ACT to amend the act of eighteen hun-
dred and sixty-eight, chapter four hundred
and seventy-one, relating to corporations, by
adding thereto an additional section to fol-
low section twenty-four, class eleven, of
said act as heretofore amended, providing
for the incorporation of corporations for the
transaction of any business in which elec-
tricity over or through wires may be used
for any useful purpose, to be designated as
section twenty-four, class eleven A, and also
by adding thereto an additional section to
follow section one hundred and seventy-five,
and to be designated as section one hundred
and seventy-five A, conferring upon the cor-
porations referred to in said section twenty-
four, class eleven, and in said section twenty-
four, class eleven A, certain powers of con-
demnation, and prescribing how the same
shall be exercised.

Effective.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the act of eighteen
hundred and sixty-eight, chapter four hundred
and seventy-one, relating to corporations, be
and the same is hereby amended by adding
thereto the following additional section to fol-
low section twenty-four, class eleven, and to be
designated as section twenty-four, class eleven
A.
