CHAPTER 135.

AN ACT to repeal chapter ninety-six of the
acts of the General Assembly of Maryland
passed at the session of the year eighteen
hundred and eighty-two, as amended by
chapter fifty-two of the acts of Assembly
passed at the session of eighteen hundred
and eighty-four, relating to the protection of
rabbits and partridges, and to permit the
shooting of ducks and other wild fowls
from shore over decoys; also to pay a bounty
upon heads of hawks and large owls in Kent
county, and to re-enact the same as follows :

sembly of Maryland, That chapter ninety-six
of the acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, passed at the session of the year eigh-
teen hundred and eighty-two, chapter fifty-two,
of the acts of the General Assembly, passed
at the session of eighteen hundred and eighty-
four, be and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted so as to read as follows :
SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That it shall not be
lawful for any person or persons in Kent
county to shoot, kill or catch, or in any way
entrap any partridge or quail in said county

between the twenty-fourth day of December
and the first day of November in each and
every year, nor any woodcock between the
first day of February and the fourth day of
July in each and every year, rior any rabbits
between the twenty-fourth day of December
and the first day of November, in each and
every year.
SEC 3. Be it further enacted, That any per-
son or persons violating any of the provisions
of the preceding section of this act, shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and on con-
viction thereof before any Justice of the Peace
