CHAPTER 119.

AN ACT to repeal section thirty-eight of arti-
cle nine of the Code of Public Local Laws,
title "Charles county," sub-title "County
Commissioners," as amended by chapter
four hundred and fifty-four of the acts of
eighteen hundred and eighty-two, and to re-
enact the same, regulating the compensation
of the Clerk of the County Commissioners.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That section thirty-eight

re-enacted.

of article nine of the Code of Public Local
Laws, entitled " Charles county," as amended
by chapter four hundred and fifty-four of acts
of eighteen hundred and eighty two, be and
the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments so as to read as follows :
SECTION. 38. He shall receive a salary not ex-

ceeding six hundred dollars nor less than five
hundred dollars, and shall receive no extra or
other compensation for duties now imposed
upon him by law or which may properly ap-
pertain to his office.

CHAPTER 120.
AN ACT to change the name of Corsica Creek,
in Queen Anne's county, to Corsica river.
SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the branch of Chester

river now known as "Corsica creek,'' extending
from said river to Centreville landing, in Queen
Anne's county, and upon which Corsica wharf,
Spencer's wharf, Larrimore's wharf and Cen-
treville landing are located, shall hereafter be
called and known as "Corsica river."

Effective.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
