person or persons, or to seize and take into
custody any canoe or canoes, boat or boats, ves-

Peace before whom such person or persons
shall have been taken by said officer, to date
cognizance of the same and docket a caee or
cases in the name of the State against such
person or persons, and the said canoe, boat or
vessel, and the said Justice shall proceed to try
the same and render judgment as provided by
this act.

SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That it shall not
be lawful for any person or persons to take or
catch oysters within the waters of said county,

river, except citizens of Wicomico and Dor-
chester counties, and any person or persons
violating the provisions of this section shall
be subject to like penalties as are prescribed
in the preceding sections of this act.

SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That all owners
and masters of canoes, boats or vessels licensed
to take or catch oysters, of Wicomico county,
being white men, are hereby constituted offi-
cers for the purpose of arresting and taking

before any Judge of any Circuit Court or Jus-
tice of the Peace who shall have jurisdiction
therein, any person or persons who may be
engaged in violating any of the provisions of
this act, and of seizing any canoe, boat or ves-
sel engaged therein, and all such owners and
masters are hereby vested with power to sum-
mon the posse comitatus to aid in making
such arrest and seizure.
