Chapter 63.
|
|
|
|
AN ACT to repeal the act of eighteen hundred and
|
|
|
|
seventy-four, chapter four hundred and forty-eight,
|
|
|
|
and re-enact the same with additional amendments,
|
|
|
|
as follows :
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
|
|
|
of Maryland, That the board of commissioners of
|
|
|

the corporation of the village of Mechanicstown may

fines, &c.
|
impose and appropriate fines, penalties and forfeitures
|
|
|
|
for the breach of their ordinances.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the sheriff of
|
|
|
|
Frederick county shall receive and safe keep in the
|
|
|
|
jail of said county all persons who shall be committed
|
|
|

thereto for a breach of any of the laws or ordinances

according to the tenor of the commitment, and in the

same manner and under the same regulations as per-

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That all fines imposed

|
|

by virtue of any law or ordinance of the said village
|
|
|

peace, in the same manner as small debts and subject
|

to the same appeal.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That all fines, fees and

SEc. 5. And be it enacted, That in cases in which
|
|
|
|
any person or persons shall be found guilty of violat-

president of the board of commissioners of said corpo-
|
|
|
|
ration trying said cause, upon the conviction of the
|

offender, to impose the fine prescribed by the particu-

lar ordinance under which said person or persons is or
|
|
|
|
are tried, and upon failure or refusal of the party
|
|
|
|
convicted thereof to pay such fines and costs, to com-
|
|
|

scribed by the said ordinance, unless the person con-
