tions of the provisions of chapter twenty-four of the acts


passed at January session, eighteen hundred and eighty,


entitled "An act to amend section forty-two, sub-title


' Drunkards,' of article thirty of the Code of Public Gen-


eral Laws of this state, title " Crimes and Punishments,' "


and to re-enact the same as amended under the sub-title of


" Drunkenness," and to exempt Frederick county from


the operations of the provisions of section forty-two, sub-

General Laws of this state, title " Crimes and Punish-


ments," and to repeal said chapter twenty-four of the acts
