Chapter 457.

AN ACT to extend and supplement an act passed at

the session of eighteen hundred, and sixty-five, chap-

ter thirty-six, entitled An act to incorporate the

German Fire Insurance Company of Baltimore, and

also to extend and supplement an act passed at Jan-

uary session, eighteen hundred and seventy-six,

chapter thirty-five, entitled An act to repeal an act

passed at the session of eighteen hundred and sev-

enty, chapter one hundred and forty-eight, entitled

An act to add additional sections to the act of eigh-

teen hundred and sixty-five, chapter thirty-six, enti-

tled An act to incorporate the German Fire Insur-

ance Company of Baltimore; and also to repeal

sections two, three and six of the said act of eigh-

teen hundred and sixty-five, chapter thirty-six, enti-

tled An act to incorporate the German Fire Insur-

ance Company of Baltimore, and to re-enact said

three sections with amendments.

WHEREAS, it was provided by the twenty-first sec-

tion of the act passed at the session of eighteen hun-

dred and sixty-five, chapter thirty-six, entitled An act

to incorpoate the German Fire Insurance Company of

Baltimore, that said act should continue and be in force

until the year eighteen hundred and eighty-five, and

until the end of the next session of the general assem-

bly which should take place thereafter; and it is de-

sirable that the charter and privileges created by said

act, and the supplement thereto passed in eighteen

hundred and seventy-six, should be extended for a

further term of twenty years , therefore —

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That all the corporate rights, privi-

leges and franchises created and granted by the act

passed at the session of eighteen hundred and sixty-
