Chapter 415.


AN ACT directing the Comptroller to issue his war-


rant upon the Treasurer to pay Joseph A. Travers


damages and costs sustained against him by Sylves-


ter Cannon while in the discharge of his official


duties as an officer of the State of Maryland.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly


of Maryland, That the comptroller of the treasury


be and he is hereby authorized and directed to issue


his warrant upon the treasurer to pay Joseph A.

Travers the amount of damages, costs and charges


sustained by him in the above cause, upon the proper


vouchers being produced by him to the comptroller,


not exceeding five hundred and four dollars, it being


the amount of damages and costs sustained against


him by Sylvester Cannon while in the discharge of


his duties as an officer of the State of Maryland.

AN ACT to add two new sections to article fifty-one


of the Public General Laws, entitled " Justices of


the peace," providing for amendment of proceedings.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
