Chapter 46.

AN ACT for the relief of The Mountain Lake Park
Association of Garrett county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the board of directors of The
Mountain Lake Park Association of Garrett county
shall have power to appoint such peace officers as may
be deemed necessary for the purpose of keeping order
on the camp-grounds, park and premises of said cor-

poration, which officers shall be paid by said corpora-
tion for their services, and shall have, when on duty,
the same power, authority and immunities which con-
stables, police officers or other peace officers under the
laws of this state possess or enjoy when on duty as
such, and they shall have power to enforce obedience
on said ground and premises to any rule or regulation
of said board of directors for the preservation of quiet
and good order and the suppression of drunkenness.

Chapter 47.

AN ACT to amend the act of eighteen hundred and
sixty-eight, chapter one hundred and fifty, enti-
tled "An act to incorporate the Southern Maryland
Railroad Company."

WHEREAS the railroad authorized to be constructed
by the act of eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, chap-
ter one hundred and fifty, entitled " An act to
incorporate the Southern Maryland Railroad Com-
pany," was duly commenced within the time limited

by said act, and is now graded for fifty miles of its en-
tire length of eighty miles, and twenty-one miles thereof
are now built and in actual operation; and whereas
the time named in said act for the completion of said
railroad expired on the twentieth day of March, eigh-
teen hundred and eighty-three; and whereas the state,
as a stockholder in said company to the amount of
