Chapter 329.


AN ACT to extend and enlarge the privileges and


powers of the West Virginia Central and Pittsburg


Railway Company in Maryland, incorporated under


the act of assembly of this state, passed at the Jan-


uary session, eighteen hundred and seventy-six,


chapter two hundred and forty-two, entitled "An


act to provide for the creation and regulation of


incorporated companies in the State of Maryland."


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly


of Maryland, That the West Yirginia Central and


Pittsburg Railway Company, in Maryland, a corpor-


ation duly incorporated in the year eighteen hundred


and eighty-two, and whose articles of incorporation


were amended according to law in the year eighteen


hundred and eighty-three, under the provisions of the


act of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed in


January, eighteen hundred and seventy-six, chapter


two hundred and forty two, entitled "An act to pro-


vide for the creation and regulation of incorporated

companies in the State of Maryland, for the purpose


of constructing, equipping, maintaining and working a


railroad, beginning for its initial terminus at a point


about one mile north of the junction of the Stony


river and the north branch of the Potomac river, in


Garrett county, in the State of Maryland, and running


through said county, and near to the said north


branch of the Potomac river, about eight miles to its


final terminus, at a point near to and a little south of


the junction of Buffalo creek with the said north


branch of the Potomac river, shall, in addition to the


powers granted under the act of eighteen hundred and
