Chapter 318.

AN ACT to exempt Frederick county from the opera-

tion of the provisions of chapter twenty-four of the

acts passed at January session, eighteen hundred and

eighty, entitled "An act to amend section forty-

two, sub-title 'Drunkards,' of article thirty of the

Code of Public General Laws of this state, title

'Crimes and Punishments,'" and to re-enact the

same as amended under the sub-title of " Drunken-

ness," and to exempt Frederick county from the

operation of the provisions of section forty-two, sub-

title " Drunkards," of article thirty of the Code of

Public General Laws of this state, title "Crimes

and Punishments," and to repeal said chapter twenty-

four of the acts passed at January session, eighteen

hundred and eighty, entitled "An act to amend sec-

tion forty-two, sub-title ' Drunkards,' of article thirty

of the Code of Public General Laws of this state,

title ' Crimes and Punishments,' " and to re-enact

the same as amended under the sub-title of " Drunk-

enness," so far as it applies to Frederick county, and

to repeal said section forty-two, sub-title " Drunk-

ards," of article thirty of the Code of Public Gen-

eral Laws of this state, title " Crimes and Punish-

ments," so far as it applies to Frederick county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That Frederick county is hereby ex-

empted and released from the operation of the provi-

sions of chapter twenty-four of the acts passed at

January session, eighteen hundred and eighty, entitled

"An act to amend section forty-two, sub-title 'Drunk-

ards,' of article thirty of the Code of Public General

Exempted and

Laws of this state, title ' Crimes and Punishments,' "

released.

and to re-enact the same as amended, under the sub-

title of "Drunkenness," and that Frederick county be

and the same is hereby exempted and released from

the operation of provisions of section forty-two, sub-
